Oh, yes! I really like it there. Hamburgers are actually one of my favorite foods, so I had to go there straight away. But it's always nicer to go to places like this with people you like. It gets a little lonely by myself.

[Should she take Sabre's hand?

[She... sort of wants to do that. It makes her feel a little bit nervous, a little bit excited.]

[ The nervous excitement just earns some confusion in response, 'cause geez, it's just hamburgers?

Sabre starts walking in the direction she knows the diner is in, even if she's never bothered to go into it. ]

You eat alone a lot or something?

Well, sometimes. I try and eat with the others when I can - with the unit, I mean. But I don't want to be a bother, if they're busy.

[Does she dare?

[Well... it's an objective, isn't it? And - and anyway, she... well, even if it wasn't, she'd still sort of be thinking it.

[Cautiously, Wednesday brushes her fingers against the palm of Sabre's hand,]

[ She pauses in surprise, glancing down at their hands, a little of-- something, sparking through the bond.

After a flustered moment she just clamps her hand around Wednesday's. ]

Going for the easy points, huh?

... sort of?

[She's been brought up to be honest.

[Wednesday's cheeks pink a little more obviously as she looks down at their joined hands.]

It gave me the idea, but... I did it because I wanted to.

[ Something about that seems to boost her confidence -- the warmth of being validated, wanted, maybe.

Teasingly, as a warm affection bubbles up: ]

Hmm~ Would have done it with or without the game, huh?

Sometime soon, yes.

[She smiles, shyly: it probably matches the feelings Sabre can catch off her. Uncertain, but hopeful.]

I like you a lot, Sabre-kun.

[ She glances at their joined hands again, and there's a slight b-bmp feeling. ]

Is that a statement . . . or a confession?

I...

[She smiles. Ducks her head.]

I'm not sure yet. I - I mean, I'm sort-of with Levi-kun, but... I suppose we're not, um, exclusive or anything, and - and I really like you, so...

Maybe it's both.

[ Well, Levi is someone she doesn't hate, and she has Adora back home, this she knows well, but . . .

Being lonely, and then being wanted. The offer, potentially, to be a little less lonely . . .

A little bit of excitement flares, a little bit of hope. Gratification and pleasure. ]

Then maybe you should tell me once you figure it out, and that diner thing can be -- what do they call it -- "a date"?

[A date? With Sabre?

[Oh God she's gone fluttery before she realizes it; Wednesday hasn't had time to catch herself before she's started on what should I wear and maybe I should get my hair trimmed--

[She's definitely blushing by the time she's managed to get that all under control.]

I... actually... I'd like that a lot, if we did it...

[ She laughs, her tail swishing a little, clearly emboldened by the positive attention -- like some kind of pleasure feedback loop. ]

[ As she resumes walking in that direction ]

You... don't mind that I haven't changed? I'd have worn something cuter i-if...

[ The question earns confusion, like -- what does that have to do with anything??

(Someone only barely knows what dates normally entail) ]

What? No. You look fine.

Well...

[Well, why not?

[She reaches up to smooth her hair a little, tucking a loose strand of hair behind one ear, and smiles.]

All right. If you think so, then let's go.

[It's... flattering.

[Nice.]

[ Her grip on Wednesday's hand gets a little tighter as she tugs her along. ]

I mean, if you really wanted to play dressup, you should let me put you in something a little less--

[ . . . ]

Pink.

You don't like pink?

[Well, it's not very cool, she supposes.]

It's my position color, so I suppose everything I wear has some pink in it. What would you want me to wear?

[ It's a princess color. ]

Black and red. Zrael clothes.

... do you really think I'd look good in that?

[Honestly, she's sort of flattered? Sabre's clothes always look so - well, cool.]

M-maybe I should try some on some time...

[ She can sense that positive emotion, and just seems pleased in response. ]

Only one way to find out.

I suppose we could do that next...? so long as there wasn't something else you'd rather be doing. But I definitely think we should eat first.

[ She shrugs ]

Other than food, I don't really care . . . if we can make points off it, that's just a bonus.

Well, there are things we could do to get points...

[How long does it take to get to burgers let's say they're there. It's magic.

[Wednesday pushes open the door to the diner and holds it open, this seems polite.]

I can't remember all of them. But there's one about going on thrill rides. Pampering... so that's a bit vague. I know there was one that was just about doing something one of us enjoyed, though, that shouldn't be too difficult to manage.

[ She's a rude girl with no manners who doesn't notice politeness, so she just saunters on into the diner. ]

If we both like burgers, I think even that is a free point.

. . . If I eat that red plant thing they put on it, that counts as a second point, too.

You can take it off if you like. I think if you just have a bite, it counts. It did when I was with Cobalt-san, earlier. We watched a movie.

[She takes a seat at the counter and hands Sabre a menu.]

So, um... do you know what you want?
