[Wednesday uncaps the green tube and drinks then, placing the tube by her side, cautiously takes Rye's hand in her own.]

I-is this okay? I'm glad you let me know... I'm an idol back home, too - a proper one, I mean - so I worry a lot about something happening to my voice.

[He will drink his, and let her have his hand. He's blushing a bit, but he offers her a kind smile.]

Of course it's okay. So idols use their voices a lot?

Oh, yes...! You see, it's really - idols are really mainly singers, back home. There's a lot more to it than that, but singing and dancing are the most important parts. So I have to be sure to take care of my voice, especially since it's getting colder.

So it's kind of like being a bard.

And not a whole lot like what we do here?

A bard...? I suppose so.

A-and no, it's nothing like it. You're supposed to be an ideal, but... approachable, you know? We're supposed to make people happy, and help them dream. Sometimes we do game shows and things, but they're nothing like the games we have to play here, either...

Sorry, I didn't mean to get so serious. But it still makes me a little angry sometimes, seeing what they've done to it here.

[He squeezes her hand.] It's all right.

Being an idol is an important thing to you. Of course you'd be mad if they twisted it. I'm sorry you have to go through it, your version of idols sound a lot better.

They are. But... I worry, sometimes. If maybe having been here means I won't be able to be that kind of idol again...

[Sometimes it's easier, to tell your biggest fears to someone you're only just getting to know.]

I mean, you're an ideal, right?

Bad things happen in the world. It doesn't matter how peaceful your world is, bad stuff happens. People get hurt, they lose things, they have to do desperate things to survive. And stuff like that...stuff like that are pretty heavy weights.

It takes a lot, to go through tragedy after tragedy and get all those weights...and come out the other side with your head held high instead of dragged down.

So that would be a powerful ideal, wouldn't it? Going through so many terrible things, still able to be happy and bring smiles to others? Maybe it'd help people who have their own tragedies find the strength to do the same?

[He's right, isn't he?]

I... suppose you're right. There - even if I've done some things here that are going to be hard to live with, and I don't want to forget... if I lost sight of why I was trying to fight through it all in the first place, and I thought that maybe I wasn't good enough any more... then this place really would have won, wouldn't it?

[She leans forward.

[Squeezing his hands, she presses a kiss to his cheek.]

[He nods.] Exactly. This place wants to break us down, make us into what they want.

Be you. No matter what they throw at you. I believe you can do it, Wednesday.

[He smiles, going red at the kiss.]

....that's what I want to hold onto.

I want to keep being able to be kind. [Raising her hand to kiss the back of it.] It's why I would have been happy to go into that room, no matter what the outcome.

Then... you already are.

[She smiles, coloring.]

And - for as long as we're both still here, I promise I won't ever let you lose sight of that, either. Even though you don't need the help... I'm going to be cheering for you from now on. I'm really glad we met, and I hope we can be good friends to one another. They're so precious in a place like this.

[He stares at that. Friend.]

[Because honestly, no one has called him friend yet.]

[And that....yes. That is important.]

...I.... [He clears his throat, smiling wider, looking flustered.] No, it-it helps. I mean, there's a lot to go through.

But knowing someone else wants me to be kind...would be willing to fight for that with me...that means a lot.

I want us to be good friends too.

We can help each other remember everything that matters. Because... there'll be days when we both forget. But even if we can't feel it for ourselves - then we can still feel it for each other.

[She pulls back a little. Looks down at their joined hands.]

I'm from somewhere with veeeery limited food options. I've been trying so many new foods.

Okay, if you've never tried cakes and sweets then we just have to meet up, I mean we have to. I'll bake the cake tomorrow and then we can go to the conbini - no, wait, the cafe, we can go to the cafe and order a little bit of everything and that way you'll know what you like best! only maybe I should make the cake after you've had a chance to try everything so you have a better idea of what you do and don't like so that way you know you're getting something nice? and then we can go to the conbini and find some snacks you can take home, have you tried chocolate yet? You need to have that too it's amazing Levi-kun had never had it before but I think he had more fruits in his own world and - okay you had better kiss me now because I think I'm running out of things to say but I'm not going to stop talking unless we do that--
