Reality is subjective, and we're undoubtedly in another plane of existence than the ones we're used to. Taking the multiverse into consideration, there are universes out there where the past version of you kept living his life normally, never being brought here. I'm not aware of the probability, so we can call this a hunch, but I'd say there are likely more of those Ks than there are ones like you.
